our little escape

  • Dec. 14th, 2009 at 8:32 PM
this is Phuket
this is our pleasurable rest in another man's land
this is a lifetime memorable experience,
no no not our honey moon yet
this is just our rightful justice.

ONE LOVE FOR PHUKET

day one
on the way to airport (lovely mother send us)
budget terminal

excited after clearing immigration
ate shopped and went crazy

time to go for our boarding.
flight slightly delayed due to late inbound

in the aircraft getting all jiggly

and HELLO PHUKET!

it was like joining Amazing Race together,
we were first to get our taxi to our hotel.
45 minutes journey,
poor lighting, up and down hill
i just wanted to see our hotel room.
2100hrs reached
THE ROYAL PALM BEACHFRONT HOTEL
exactly infront of Patong Beach

i love the room, i love the bed, i love the big big mirror, i love the make up table, i love the LCD TV, i love the toilet which sees through our bed, i love the mosaic wall, i love the bath tub i love the simple deco and we both agree
our future house would look exactly like this.
so we decided to give Phuket nightlife a try on our first night
BUT, unrealisingly it was Thailand's King birthday so everything seemed closed.
not the shops no, the entertainment, the tranny and the sleazy street full of bars.
considering the aftermath of tsunami, no streets or road was named, or had any sign board to show which road were we at,
so basically, having a map is equivalent to zero effort because we don't know our starting point, our exact location
and if you wanna talk about identifying the place by landmark,
we tried using KT Optics as a landmark but apparently,
the have KT Optics every other street, so go figure.
2 hours figuring out, walking long distances, but we get to see alot.
sight and view is overwhelming i tell ya.

day two
Sunday breakfast at Patong Phuket, view from the hotel building is miraculously heavenly
then it was shopping like money drop from the sky.
tuk-tuk-ed back and fro.

by this time the camera battery died on us so our photo-memory day ended just like that
so here just wanna share that Phuket should have traffic light to control the traffic because
they dont have a mere zebra crossing for pedestrians
pfts!

day three
was a day of outing. boyfigure wanted to have his chance on guns (boys and gadgets. pffts!)
and yes, what else, beach laaaa. PATONG IS THE SEX LA!
live round of bullets, thai food and seafood and cheap shisha and sand and sea
and a walk down sleazy SOI BANGLA (BANGLA ROAD)
and we finally get to experience thai clubbing with sounds of bass house and trance at their resident club
HOUSE.
i wanna hold Phuket PR-ship.

yes spot the difference with Singapore Ronald MacDonald.

day four
back to Singapore and i havent had enough sun tanning, shopping and the Phuket feel yet.

goodbye Phuket
ill come again
(:

comfort zone

you girls make leaving SATS difficult when i have a love-hate relationship with work.
when you found that comfort zone, where ever you go, whatever you wanna do,
you will always wanna find them.
i wanna call you when its my break time, wanna come early to work so i can see you morning shifters,
i wanna psycho you into doing things and going out despite being tired.
all because they are my comfort zone.
(:

nothing else keeps me going to work.
nothing.
